Shawnee Falls Studio 2010 - 2011 Class Schedule Study drawing, watercolor and more with Gwendolyn Evans Caldwell, RISD Master’s Degree artist with 40 years of professional experience, over 70 juried exhibitions and 50 awards, whose work has been represented in museums, galleries and corporate collections throughout the US. September 4, 11, 18, 25 Saturdays, noon to 3. Plein Air Watercolor. $135. Paint outdoors, viewing waterfall and historic surrounds with expert instruction and demos. Class size limited to 6 persons so that much individual attention may be given; 3 persons required for class to make. A 2 ½ hour instructional DVD by the artist is included in the class fee. For beginner, intermediate and advanced adult art students. Class size limited to 6 persons so that much detailed individual attention may be given; 3 persons required for class to make. Tuesdays 10 to noon. Creative Play. $75. A class for 3 and 4 year olds to allow moms the creative time they need at home and to give their children the opportunity to explore drawing, painting, building, sculpting, movement and imaginative play, sharing with and appreciating others. Materials and snack of apple juice and homemade cookie provided. Class size limited to 4; 3 required for class to make. Registration Deadline is October 15. January 4, 11, 18, 25. Tuesdays 10 to noon. The Art of Arts: An Exploration of Spiritual Direction and Practice. $100. Reading list and hand-outs included. Class size limited to 6 persons; 4 required for class to make. With a lifetime of spiritual practice and work towards a Masters Degree in Spiritual Direction at General Theological Seminary in NYC, the artist offers this uniquely creative course to challenge and inspire one’s individual daily practice. Registration Deadline is December 15. January 26 - March 2. Wednesdays 10 to noon, 6 wks. Herstory 9-Piece : A Course for Women Who Want To Understand Themselves. $135. All materials and 100-page syllabus included with this richly life-changing course which the artist received a grant to create and which she has taught for two decades.
