Portraiture and Figure
Wednesday evenings, 7 to 9 PM: January 13, 20, 27, and February 3
Working from clothed life model and your photos you will learn to create correct anatomy as well as likeness in the human head and figure. We will work in pencil, charcoal, soft pastel, and watercolor. Students supply their own materials and a model fee of $10 per student is added to the tuition of $140.
Watercolor for Beginners
Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, February 4, 11, 18, 25
Rarely offered, a watercolor class for rank beginners, is a good winter class to prepare for more demanding challenges of Spring and Summer plein air painting. Students supply their own materials from list given by Gwendolyn. Tuition: $140.
Children’s Drawing Foundation and Art Exploration
Wednesdays, 4 to 5:15, January 13, 20, 27, and February 3
Offering young children, third through sixth grades, a variety of art experiences. All materials are provided by SFS. Materials cost is included in tuition fee of $140.
High School Portfolio Preparation
Having taught and created AP college-level courses for private schools for many years, Gwendolyn offers this course for serious high school art students intending to apply to top art institutions, enabling them to create excellent portfolios utilizing a variety of mediums, following AP requirements. By private appointment, $45 an hr.
Private Art Instruction in Medium of Your Choice
By appointment, $45 an hour.
